Based in Montreal and New York, Josee Lepage is a design consultant, independent curator and founder of a namesake firm that specializes in collaborations, special projects and artistic direction in the realm of design.

Emphasizing both established and experimental work, Lepage brings her experience as a designer, retailer and gallerist to conceive and manage projects that push boundaries at design's confluence with art, fashion and popular culture.

Recently, Lepage co-organized such high-profile events "The Wrong Store," a guerilla shop in New York, and "As Long as it Lasts...," a pop-up tattoo parlor featuring designs by prominent artists and designers, at Art Basel Miami Beach/Design Miami. In 2008, she was also the co-creative director of Japan C, an 11-week festival of contemporary Japanese design and culture at Felissimo Design House in Manhattan.

Such efforts have received widespread attention in publications from ID magazine, Dazed and Confused, Core77 and Frame to the New York Times, Financial Times, San Francisco Chronicle and others.

In 2005, Lepage co-founded Commissaires, an experimental design gallery in Montreal, where she mounted exhibitions of work by talents including Maarten Baas, Tobias Wong, 5.5 designers, Bless, Gilles Saucier and others.
